We are booked into the Park Central Hotel in South Beach - one of the historic hotels of America that has been done up in the art deco style (which usually means that the property is pretty small but eclectic).
Some pictures above of the Park Central. The first and fourth pictures are of the main lobby of the hotel. The second picture is of the main entrance of the hotel at night.
The hotel's inhouse restaurant / bar is called "Casablanca". Did not see any romantic figures though while we were there for a late lunch. (See third picture for the view from Casablanca's terrace).
We also discovered that the hotel's main restaurant "Quinns" has a really good musician who plays during dinner. He is seriously good, playing cuban music. Quite something to sit on the terrace of the restaurant, hav dessert and listen to the great music he plays.
Our hotel is located in the middle of South Beach (or "SOBE"), what is supposed to be the most happening part of Miami. The look and feel of the place reminds us of other beach-front locale such as Surfers' Paradise and even Bali. Some great-looking restaurants all serving grilled seafood and some mediterranean dishes. Will explore more of SOBE tomorrow.
